Overdraft Privilege Solutions

Standard Overdraft Privilege

With Premier Bank checking accounts eligible for Overdraft Privilege, we may authorize and pay overdrafts for checks, transactions made using your checking account number and automatic bill payments at our discretion.

If we cover an overdraft, you will still be required to cover the charge of the transaction, plus you will be charged an overdraft fee if your account is more than five dollars overdrawn1.

Extended Overdraft Privilege

We may authorize and pay ATM transfers or withdrawals and everyday debit card purchases when you enroll in extended overdraft privilege. Extended overdraft privilege is optional and you will be asked to make this decision during account opening. If you agree to have us cover these types of transactions and we pay an overdraft, you will still be required to cover the charge of the transaction, plus you will be charged an overdraft fee if your account is more than five dollars overdrawn1.

If you decline for Premier Bank to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card transactions, your debit card will be declined at the register or ATM if you do not have enough funds to cover the transaction.

If you would like to change your Extended Overdraft Privilege decision, you may do so at any time by contacting our Client Solution Center at 1-877-367-8178 or visiting your local branch.

Overdraft Protection Solutions

Automatic Account Transfer

Overdraft Protection allows you to tie a savings account or money market account to your checking account. In the event of an overdraft, funds will be automatically transferred to your checking account in $50 increments to cover the shortage.

Overdraft Lines of Credit4

You can apply for an Overdraft Line of Credit to connect to your deposit account to automatically transfer funds to cover overdrafts and non-sufficient funds. Overdraft Line of Credit loans are available between $500 and $5,000.

Avoiding Overdrafts

Monitor your account balances regularly to help prevent negative balances and potential overdrafts. Enroll in Online Banking and/or Mobile Banking2 to effectively manage your account.

Set up Account Alerts3 to get real-time alerts when your balance drops below a certain threshold via text or email.
