John Prelac Promoted to Director of Trust
Youngstown, OH (August 26, 2021) – Premier Bank is pleased to announce that John M. Prelac has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Trust.
Prelac joined Premier Wealth in March of 2016 as Vice President, Chief Trust Officer. As Chief Trust Officer, he worked to evaluate current investment and estate planning strategies, and he proactively delivered and oversaw all estate settlement processes. In addition, he also identified quality relationships with potential for long-term, profitable business.
As Director of Trust, his responsibilities include overseeing Premier Wealth’s fiduciary duties, ensuring compliance with policies, managing trust officers and maintaining and growing the trust portfolio. In addition to leading the trust team, Prelac will continue to collaborate with high net worth individuals and their advisors to articulate their goals and needs, develop a comprehensive wealth plan and coordinate both internal and external advisors to implement the plan.

Prelac earned a Bachelors in Business Administration and Economics from Mount Union College, Master of Taxation (MTax) from the College of Business Administration at the University of Akron and Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Mahoning County Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital Development Board. He and his wife, Susan, have two adult children and three grandchildren. They make their home in Jackson Township, OH in Stark County.
